The symbol in the middles is Om. It represents Brahman, the nature of truth, knowledge and infinity, or the impersonal Absolute of Hinduism.
It is believed to be the basic sound of the world containing all other sounds. When spoken, Om is a mantra or prayer in itself. If repeated with the correct intonation, it can resonate throughout the body so that the sound penetrates to the centre of one's being, the atman or soul.
The Sanskrit on the side says: "Tasha Dee, Lover of Truth"
Hinduism and Buddhism have taught me a new way of reverence.
Learning about other religions makes me want to be a better Latter-day Saint.
