His response: "Ummm. Disownment??"
Ha.
He was kidding.
Probably.
My first crush in kindergarten was a little black boy named Kyle. He told me he loved me in front of all the sixth graders.
What we had was real.
2. We were in Salt Lake and Sheena and Emily were in the camera's view just running around having a grand time. "Hm. Don't we have another one?" My parents may or may not have thought.
That would be me.
Dad (the camera man) found me hugging a tree. Some passers-by were watching me so I pointed at that which I was embracing and proclaimed, "Tree!!"
"Uh, yeah. She's a bit of a tree hugger." Dad admitted.
Ha.
Literally...
3. A little later we were on another trip where we stopped by a little park called Story Book Island. (If you have small children, take them there. Immediately. Heck, take ME.) I saw a huge statue of Barney. Instead of casually standing back and admiring it, I hugged it.
Not only did I hug the thing, I stroked it.
So I liked Barney.
Apparently I liked to hug things in public.
*Update: A couple years ago we went back to that magic place. A much bigger me reenacted that tender moment on a much smaller Barney. Definitely not as cute/endearing the second time around.
p.s. When I was young I used to have blond hair. I just sort of grew out of it I guess. Ish.
p.s.s. Mil showed me this blog: http://crappypictures.com/ and it made me want to illustrate some of my own stories. So yeah. I copied her. ;p
Read that blog, by the way. It's absolutely hilarious.

Tee I LOVE IT!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you looked at crappypictures. I just laughed and laughed.
Just like I laughed and laughed at all your memories. Priceless.
Can I just copy all your blog ideas? I wanna do lists and random memories.
But I don't really have a laptop right now. My lappy died. :'(
p.s. My crappy drawing of you and Barney was pretty epic, too. :D
ReplyDeleteMil.
ReplyDeleteCopy away, my love!
WHAAAAAAAT??! What happened?? :(
p.s. Most definitely. Mine pales in comparison. I still have/treasure that picture to this very day. Not to mention the Devil's Tower one too. ;)
