I once heard of an artist that would only paint the same tree over and over... This idea has always intrigued me. As I was looking at my Dancing Ganesha, I realized there were some improvements that could be made. So; I did.
Also, I have just been thinking a lot about when I see what other people have done, I really wish that I could do it too. But then I think, "Hold on, Tasha. Have you even tried???" Usually the answer is no. Because of this, I have been on this Try-It-Out-'Capade and so far it's been a really fun success. So if anyone else feels the same way about anything; TRY IT!!
p.s. Someday, I'm going to take up sculpting. Don't anyone doubt it ;p
Anyhoo, Let me present: Dancing Ganesha...THE DOUCE!
Once again, just because it's fun, The Process:
This go around I thought it might be better to just do it all on the same paper.
I think it worked much better.
Plus, I also had some order to the frame and tried to "geometricize" the thing.
(Ha...you know what I mean.)
The first time it was just a cool idea but I didn't have a clue what I was doing ;p
Aaaaand the water color background wasn't really working for me...
What to do?
So, I just used markers instead.
The one downside is that the poor guy is all but dried up :(
So yeah. Even though I like the old one...this new one is a definite improvement, I think.
See! The more you try, the better you get! ;)

p.p.s Here's the redo of Shiva!
But Tee I'm too SCARED to just try something!! ...what if it doesn't turn out like I want it too?? Then I'll NEVER TRY IT AGAIN!!!!
ReplyDeleteUgh. Why can't I be a master learner??
