Be Modest
Take yourself seriously. She was modest, but not lacking in confidence. Her mother even said,
“Considering that you have no talent, it’s really extraordinary where you’ve got.”
WOW.
And this is AUDREY HEPBURN we’re talking about people. She responded by saying, “She wasn’t putting me down, she was saying how fortunate I was.”
Well, bless your heart. That’s prolly not how I would have taken that blow.
Move beyond your fears
In spite of her grace and calm she portrayed on-screen she suffered from stage fright her entire life.
Be Enigmatic.
Make people wonder. Don’t be afraid to disappear and make them beg for more.
Emily Dickinson once said, “Beauty is not caused, it is.” Audrey’s beauty was based not only on her physical attributes (which were considerable) but because of who she was. Actually, she was really insecure about her looks; but she always knew what worked for her.
She didn’t have to be anyone else.
She took what she had and made it wonderful.
Audrey had a rough life behind the scenes. She lived in Holland with her family and right before WWII her father left her. Struggling to survive, her and her mother had to endure all of those hardships alone. (She even handed out anti-Nazi literature. That’s muh girl!). She also went through two terrible divorces, several miscarriages, and other tragedies. But did she get weighed down with grief and expect something from life because of them? No! She knew that there was still goodness in the world and she did her best to pursue and appreciate it.
No one who has ever seen or met Audrey Hepburn will ever forget her. She was truly one of a kind; an icon (although she never thought of herself that way).
Her voice, her looks, no one can ever replace her.
Becaue after all, she was a very stylish girl.
