p.s. If you're not familiar with this myth I would highly suggest looking it up first. The real version helps mine make so much more sense. If you want to look up the real myth or any other Grecian myths theoi.com is the best way to do it! :)
Part I: Spring
One day when Persephone was frolicking with her Nymph friends the villainous Hades watched from behind the trees, twirling his mustache. “Ah yes,” he chuckled, “a woman’s touch is just what my Underworld needs.”
Part II: Fall
And with that he made a lunge for Persephone, knocking some shocked Nymphs out of the way. Meanwhile, Persephone was quite put out. She was planning on growing some wheat with her mother that day…
Oh well.
Part III: Winter
When Demeter realized that her daughter was missing, she was seriously piqued that no one would help her (like most mothers). Instead of nice home cooked meals she declared that everyone had to fend for themselves, which can mean only one thing: “frozen” dinners.
Part IV: Summer
After a while even Zeus couldn’t handle another frozen pizza. “This craziness must end!”
“Fine,” sulked Hades, “but my wifey dearest partook of some ‘hellish’ fruit, and we all know what that means...” Persephone was able to return to her mother for half the year where they were able to grow lovely things together. For the rest of the year she had to go down to her husband just because she at some pesky pomegranate seeds. During this part of the year, depressed Demeter sits around all day and eats ice cream. And when Mother Nature suffers, we all do.
The End
Here's what I compared it to in our day:
Abduction? Light vs. Dark? Evil attracted to good??
Seriously- we stole everything from the Greeks ;)
